KeyPet

⚠️ **Privacy:** KeyPet uses a keyboard hook for desk-pet animations. We do **not** record typed text, individual key identities, or upload data. See Privacy below; full policy is `Security-Manifest.md` next to `KeyPet.exe`. Antivirus false positives may occur.

**KeyPet** is a Windows **pixel desk pet**: while you type in any app, a small desktop window plays idle / attack animations. Typing is the fuel — watching and collecting are the fun.

### What's in this test build

- Transparent desktop window + system tray

- Keystroke-driven combat / animation pacing

- Gallery (tarot-shelf UI): browse, inspect, deploy

- Move currency earned by typing; spend to unlock characters

- Languages: Chinese / English (partial ja / pt / de)

### What's not / known limits

- Art & balance are not final

- No Steam online / DLC store redirects

- Some characters may be hidden

- Antivirus may flag keyboard hooks (see Privacy below)

### How to play

1. Unzip and run `KeyPet.exe`

2. The pet window appears on the desktop; use the tray icon for Gallery / language / quit

3. Type normally in other apps — no need to focus the game

4. Switch characters via tray → Gallery

## Privacy & security (please read)

KeyPet uses a **Windows low-level keyboard hook** so key events can drive gameplay. It does **not**:

- Record the text you type

- Log which specific keys you pressed (only aggregate “a key was pressed” style counters)

- Send keyboard or save data to any server

Progress (totals, Move balance, unlocks) is stored **locally** only (`saveData.json` under your user AppData).

Full English policy ships in the download as `Security-Manifest.md` (same folder as `KeyPet.exe`).

Antivirus false positives are possible. You may whitelist the app or decline to run it.

**KeyPet** 是一款 Windows 像素风**桌宠**：你在任何窗口打字时，宠物会在桌面小窗里攻击、待机、换招——打字是燃料，观看与收集才是乐趣。

- 部分角色可能隐藏或未开放

### 怎么玩

1. 解压后运行 `KeyPet.exe`

2. 小窗会出现在桌面；也可从右下角托盘打开图鉴 / 切换语言

3. 正常工作打字即可驱动宠物；不需要一直盯着游戏窗口

4. 想换角色：托盘 → Gallery / 图鉴

## 隐私与安全（请先读）

KeyPet **会监听键盘按键事件**（用于驱动动画与计数），但：

- **不记录你输入的文字内容**

- **不记录具体按了哪个键**（只统计「有一次按键」等聚合数据）

- **不上传**键盘或存档数据到任何服务器

- 本地仅保存进度（如按键次数合计、Move、解锁状态）到本机 `saveData.json`
